미국 유명 가구 브랜드와 함께 소재로 활용
일본의 세계적인 설치 미술가 '타츠 니시(Tatzu Nishi)'가 진행 중인 이 작품은 1892년에 제작된 6층 높이의 콜럼버스 동상 외부를 구조물로 감싸 거실 환경을 조성해 관람객들이 가까이에서 동상을 감상할 수 있게 했는데요. '타츠 니시'는 콜럼버스의 거실을 꾸미기 위해 미국 유명 가구 브랜드의 소파, 팔걸이 의자, 램프, 협탁 등 가구와 함께 삼성 스마트TV ES8000을 선택해 콜럼버스의 거실을 새롭게 창조했습니다.
이를 통해 관람객들은 6층 높이의 콜럼버스 동상이 위치한 거실에서 한 번도 접해볼 수 없었던 새로운 시각으로 센트럴 파크와 맨하탄 중심가의 인상적인 전망을 즐길 수 있게 됐습니다.
